October 7 is when kids pray the Rosary!

Press Release– One Million Children Praying the Rosary, October 7, 2025!

Montreal, August 26, 2025On October 7, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) is once again inviting children worldwide to pray for unity and peace.

The international One Million Children Praying the Rosary event is back for its twentieth year! “What a beautiful way to begin the month of October!” says Marie-Claude Lalonde, national director of ACN Canada. “This year, two important changes should be noted. First, the date: instead of October 18, ACN will now hold this annual event on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, namely October 7. In Canada, there will be no online gathering as in past years. Instead, we are inviting parish groups, catechists, parents, grandparents, parishes, and all those working in children’s ministry to organize their own groups on October 7.”

ACN Canada has prepared a dedicated webpage with downloadable resources to support this unique initiative and inspire children to pray the Rosary. Among the materials available are a flyer with the main prayers and this year’s Glorious Mysteries, as well as comic strip colouring pages, which are available for download.

“A new 52-page booklet is also available,” explains Ms. Lalonde. “It provides a step-by-step guide on how to pray the Rosary and includes all the mysteries. Of course, it’s important to follow the children’s pace,” she adds. “This booklet is beautifully illustrated with works by the artist Miren Sorne, taken from ACN’s Children’s Bible. It is truly a wonderful tool, and I strongly recommend it.”
