Become a volunteer with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) Canada!
We are currently looking for honest and reliable volunteers to open and sort mail.
Start date: as soon as possible
Location: ACN Canada’s national office in Laval, Quebec (near the Cartier metro station)
Availability
Day: Every Wednesday
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00–4:00 p.m.
Main Responsibilities
Opening mail: Open all mail received by the organization, including letters, donations, and any administrative or promotional correspondence.
Sorting and Filing: Sorting mail into different categories (donations, requests, internal correspondence, etc.) and filing it in the appropriate folders.
Identifying Donations: Paying special attention to donations and coding them properly for accounting processing.
Collaboration: Working closely with the administrative team to ensure that all correspondence is handled in a timely manner.
Desired Qualities
Organization and attention to detail: Ability to manage a large volume of mail while maintaining an accurate and orderly filing system.
Discretion and trustworthiness: respect for confidentiality, particularly regarding donations and personal correspondence.
Reliability and independence: punctuality and the ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and procedures.
Team spirit: ability to collaborate with different departments to ensure the smooth handling of mail.
Skills
Spoken and written French and English
Proficiency with filing systems (physical and digital)
Requirements
Background check required
Training and support provided.
