A new sound system is needed for the reconstructed parish of Saint Stanislaus in Balta
There are some 80 Catholics who attend the Latin-rite Catholic parish of Saint Stanislaus, including many children. This beautiful parish church, part of the diocese of Odessa and Simferopol, was consecrated over 250 years ago. Sadly, the original structure was destroyed during the communist era where it stood in Balta, southwest Ukraine.

The rebuilding of this community’ former church has been the heartfelt desire of the whole congregation, but has cost them a great deal of effort, hard work and money too. The men of the parish have given their spare time to help with the work, and ACN has made more than one financial contribution towards the restoration of this church.
With these efforts, life has slowly returned to the parish community, for example this year, for the first time since 1993, the Sacrament of Confirmation was administered in the parish, to seven adults and one child. Parishioners have also formed a Rosary prayer group, and the children of the parish are enrolled in what they call: “The Children of Mary” group.

Now the bulk of the work has finally been completed, but there is still plenty to be done. Still urgently needed is a proper sound-system to help the congregation follow the religious services properly. Because we know we can count on our benefactors, we have been able to promise them $7,500.
