Help a displaced family in Syria

More than 2,000 families in the Valley of Christians need food, clothing, shelter, fuel for heating, medication, education, and spiritual care. With your gift, we hope to supply them with what they need to meet their basic needs.

We promised to provide help for 12 Emergency Projects. We still need $1,469,056.50

The civil war in Syria made Syrians the largest forcibly displaced population in the world, with 13 million people at the end of 2018, according to the UNHCR. More than 5 million people fled Syria and sought refuge in Lebanon, where more than 70% of them live below the poverty live. The harsh reality for many displaced persons and Christian refugees is that their daily life is a struggle for survival. They are dependent on the Church not only for spiritual and psychological support but also for material support. Since 2012, the Missionaries of Saint Paul have operated an emergency program, with the help of volunteers who also fled their hometown due to the conflicts. Instead of leaving the country, many of these young people decided to stay and help others. More than 1,800 families in the Valley of Christians rely on our support for their monthly living costs.

“Thanks to the help I received from ACN, I did not have to give up my studies.”

Rafic Assi, a young Syrian man.

“The war made me realize that material things are not so important. Young people around the world should be grateful because they can live in peace. We did not imagine that our lives would turn out like that. But we have not given up on hope!”

If this project is funded, your gift will be used to support other Christians in Need, for instance, such as these:

Give a gift for a child in Syria

There are 17,806 children from all over Syria will be waiting for a Christmas gift this year. Sister Annie Demerjian from Aleppo offered clothes, made by local Christian women, and small gifts. With your help, we hope to give them a gift.

A Drop of Milk for children in Aleppo

In Aleppo, more than 3,000 children depend on the “Drop of Milk” project, which distributes milk on a monthly basis to newborns and older children up to 10-years-old. With your help, we hope to continue this project next year.

Provide medical support to sick people in Syria

11.5 million Syrians, including 5 million children do not have access to health care. Embargos and sanctions aggravate the situation. With your help, we hope to support the health center in Lattaquie.
