Dozens of priests are dying of COVID-19 in Latin America

The Catholic Church in Latin America has not been spared the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020 and in the first quarter of 2021, dozens of priests in a number of countries such as Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, Columbia and Bolivia have died after contracting COVID-19 while carrying out their pastoral work assisting the faithful and supporting them as they deal with fear and pain.
